A Ceri Sweeney penalty deep into stoppage time sealed a narrow win for Newport Gwent Dragons at Hughenden after the home side had let a 20 point advantage slip away.
The Warriors were in the ascendancy early on and within 30 minutes had racked up two tries and 10 points from the boot of Dan Parks. However the Welsh region fought back with two tries, one converted by Sweeney, before the break to close the gap to only eight points.
Despite the loss of Adam Black to the sin bin in the second period the Dragons continued to press with Sweeney narrowing it to a two point gap with a couple of penalties before a Mike Hercus drop goal gave the Welsh a lead for the first time. A late Colin Gregor penalty looked to have swung the points back to the Warriors before Sweeny snatched it with the last kick of the game.
